Local Advisory Board (LAB)

The Local Advisory Board (LAB) at GEMS Founders School, Masdar City (GFA) plays a key advisory and strategic role in supporting the school’s vision, direction, and continued improvement. The LAB works collaboratively with school leadership to help ensure that GFA achieves its strategic goals while upholding the values of GEMS Education.

The role of the LAB includes

  • Supporting and promoting the vision, mission, and values of GFA and GEMS Education
  • Advising the school on strategic priorities, policies, and long-term planning
  • Monitoring and supporting the school’s standards, quality of education, and overall performance
  • Acting as a sounding board for the Principal and providing informed, objective guidance
  • Strengthening links between the school, community, and wider educational landscape

Local Advisory Board Members

LAB members are experienced professionals drawn from a variety of backgrounds who bring valuable expertise, insight, and perspective to the school. Members respect and support the leadership role of the Principal and have a clear understanding of the relationship between GFA, the school leadership team, and GEMS Education as the governing organisation.
